COEUR D'ALENE -- After the Coeur d’Alene Casino & Resort donated 500 backpacks and $15,000 in supplies to fill them, Tools 2 Schools had the challenge to transport the massive donation from Walmart in the Spokane Valley to the Salvation Army Kroc Center in Coeur d’Alene.

PODS of Spokane stepped in, volunteering a PODS container and the company’s time to transport the heavy pallets of supplies.

Volunteers and staff from the Salvation Army Kroc Center and Martin Luther King, Jr. Family Outreach Center will sort the supplies and stuff the backpacks based on students’ age and gender.

Parents who have pre-registered their kids for the supplies will be able to pick them up on Distribution Day on Thursday, August 29.
