LOS ANGELES - Police in Los Angeles have found a car that may have been used by a sex abuse suspect sought by Oregon authorities.
U.S. Marshals are looking for 37-year-old Logan Storm, a former Beaverton teacher who has been missing after his court-ordered monitoring bracelet was found at a Troutdale park last month.
Police in Los Angeles Thursday found a VW Jetta with missing plates that may have been driven by Storm. Police think he is still in the U.S.
Storm was indicted for encouraging child sexual abuse in August, 2010.
He was described as white, 6-foot 2, weighing 200 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo on his back, U.S. Marshals said.
Storm was a teacher at Stoller Middle School before resigning in 2011. He was arrested after returning to Portland on a flight from Amsterdam in 2011. He vanished while on house arrest.
He may also be in a green 1999 Ford F-150 with Oregon plates 726 CKA, authorities said.
Anyone with information was asked to call U.S. Marshals at 503-326-2209.
