SPOKANE, Wash. – Meals On Wheels is channeling the sweetness of giving this Valentine’s Day with its fifth annual Cinna-grams fundraiser.

Each Cinna-gram box comes complete with two Cinnabon cinnamon rolls and coffee, a coffee mug, Couer d’Alene chocolates, and vouchers for two Pretzel Time soft pretzels.

But the bigger gift is the one that’s not in the box: for each one delivered, Meals On Wheels can provide eight meals for a senior in need.

Meals On Wheels executive director Mollie Dalpae said it’s a way to send a little love to someone you know and someone you don’t at the same time.

“You win because you’re sending out and remembering someone on Valentine’s Day. They win because they receive something, and our seniors win because they are fed,” Dalpae said. “So everybody wins and feels good at the end of the day.

It’s too late to order your own for delivery, but you can still pick up a Cinna-gram and deliver it yourself on Valentine’s Day. Meals On Wheels invites people to contact the organization, or show up on Thursday at Central Lutheran Church at 512 S. Bernard Street in Spokane.
