Longest serving military dog retires

MOUNTAIN HOME -- The longest serving military dog in the Department of Defense is retiring.
After 12 years of service Tanja hung up her badge at a retirement ceremony at Mountain Home Air Force Base Thursday.
The Belgian Malinois served as a detection and patrol dog and has deployed from Mountain Home Air Force Base five times.
Tanja will enjoy her golden years with her current handler.
