ON 9/18, we were on the trestle going e/b when we saw a huge smoke pillar coming from the hillside to our east. We drove up to the area of 30th St Se and 78th Ave Se and saw that a house was fully engulfed. Lk Stevens Fire was already there when we arrived. I photographed the scene as the house collapsed. It appeared that the fire personnel were trying to keep adjacent buildings from catching fire. Neighbors told me that no one was home and that the resident had been working on the structure "for some time". It looked like a total loss.
