During the storm of 7-20-2012 the severe weather was accompanied by \lightning. This video shows a ground strike and is repeated again in slow motion. The flickering of the first lightning bolt is actually indivual strikes. The frame rate of the video is 30 frames per second. When viewed in slow motion, there are 4 separate strikes within a 10 frame time span - or about 1/3 of a second.
