Today was day 2 of the massive project to demolition the Alaskan Way Viaduct. Many turned out to first hand witness an unprecedented event in the history of Seattle, WA. A major piece of history, a monument of wonder, means of commuting and a way to view the wonderful views of the Puget Sound and Fisherman's Wharf/Waterfront. Crews are working nearly day and all night to bring down this colossal structure of genius design. You can still obtain a commemorative piece of the viaduct before the concretes chunks of remain are recycled as well as the tons of rebar used to assist in the concrete structure's form.
