Last winter my son brought me a cutting of a plumeria back from his vacation in Hawaii. Plumeria flowers are most commonly used to make leis. I potted it up, and lo and behold, it bloomed this summer in spite of the cool temperatures. I did bring it into the house if the nighttime temperature threatened to go below 50 degrees.
