Magnitude 5.7 earthquake recorded off the coast of Northern California, no tsunami danger

PORTLAND, Ore. -- According to the National Weather Service of Portland, there is no Tsunami danger for the Washington and Oregon coast, after a 5.7 magnitude earthquake struck about 70 miles off shore of Northern California.

The National Weather Service Tsunami Alert reports the magnitude 5.7 quake struck around 10:30 pm Friday about 70 miles SW of Eureka, California.
