  • Scientists prepare to excavate Seattle mammoth tuskadd to reading list

    Burke Museum paleontologists are preparing to excavate a fossilized mammoth tusk unearthed at a South Lake Union construction site this week. Scientists estimate the tusk is around 22,000 years old, but could be as old as 60,000 years.
