Free reusable bags ahead of Seattle's plastic bag ban

Seattle's ban on plastic grocery bags goes into effect starting Sunday, July 1. To better prepare shoppers, Seattle Public Utilities and Safeway will give away 32,000 reusable grocery bags for free.
