Unionized Seattle-area garbage workers are on strike, in a job action expected to affect about 1 million people in King and Snohomish counties. Waste Management says it will continue service with nonunion employees and is prepared to hire new drivers. The union says it's fighting to protect health care for workers. Michael Gonzales, spokesman for the Teamsters Local 174, explains the union's position.
