SEATTLE - After looking for a job for 18 months, former journalist and marketing expert Lee Somerstein has taken his job search – along with his pets – to the streets of downtown Seattle.

Somerstein has set up a lawn chair on the corner of Fourth and Madison and is passing out his resume to anyone who will take it.

Joining Somerstein is his dog, Trooper, and his cat, Tex. He has a sign telling passers-by that he lost his job and soon could lose his Kent townhome, which is in foreclosure.

"Desperate times call for desperate action," says Somerstein, who hopes someone will come along an offer him a job.
