SEATTLE -- Carkeek Park is beautiful this time of year but there is a very unattractive invader pitching tents in the trees.

Webby gobs of tent caterpillar nests cover virtually every limb of some trees and a few branches of others.

The creepy bugs cannot harm humans, but they can damage or kills certain trees if the nests get too large.

Experts say if you can, just ignore them, they will be gone in a few weeks. If not, you are advised to cut off infested branches, dump them into soapy water, place them in a plastic bag and then stomp on them.
