Where can you taste over 750 wines all in one place? Taste Washington is the nation's largest single-region wine and food event. Over 220 Washington state wineries will be on hand as well as 50 local restaurants to showcase the finest in cuisine.
Saturday will feature wine seminars for those serious about deciphering wine. Sunday is the Grand Tasting for those curious about wine, where one can move through and taste wine, learn what foods to pair it with, and see cooking demonstrations by celebrity chefs.
Many sommeliers agree that as we move into spring, wine selection should adapt as well.
"I think that we're moving into drier, cleaner white wines - something that's crisp and refreshing," said Nelson Daquip, sommelier at Canlis Restaurant. "You are going to start seeing a lot of rose as a spring release, something for the patio and sunshine. As far as red wines, go for something with fruit and an element of spice."
