One day ahead of a crucial vote by Boeing Machinists on the 777X production in Puget Sound, some Machinists say they will once again vote down the contract offer.
Some Machinists rallied Thursday night at the Machinists union headquarters in Seattle, saying they aren't budging on the vote. They say this contract offer, Boeing's best and final, just isn't good enough and is too much like the offer they already rejected.
Many held signs that said "Vote No" and "We Stand Together." It wasn't just the rank-and-file at the rally; other local unions also packed the building to show their support.
What the issue comes down to is their pensions. The Machinists say they won't vote for a contract offer that phases them out.
One Machinist said he is scared because he doesn't know what to expect with Friday's vote. But the majority of the Machinists at the rally Thursday said they are confident it will be voted down.
