NORTH BEND - Surveillance cameras captured the moments before and after an explosion leveled several businesses last week.  The explosion destroyed three buildings and damaged surrounding businesses on the 500 block of East North Bend early Friday morning.

"When I showed up it looked like a big bomb blast," said store clerk Mohammad Sheikh.

The gas station video shows insulation and dust particles flying through the air along with a small fire near the destroyed buildings. Inside the store, items were knocked off the shelves. The videos do not show the exact moment of the blast.

"The power was off and camera broke and everything shut down," said Sheikh.

The walls and roof of the gas station were damaged. The store will remain closed.

No one was seriously injured. Investigators are still trying to determine the exact cause.

North Bend building officials will examine businesses and homes with damage. Residents can schedule an inspection by contacting the Community & Economic Development Department at 425-888-5633 or 425-888-7643.
