This animation of GOES-15 satellite observations from July 8 to July 12, 2012, shows Hurricane Daniel weaken to a remnant low pressure area nearing Hawaii, while Emilia became a hurricane to the east of Daniel, and Tropical Storm Fabio developed off the western Mexican coast on July 12.
