In a verbal gaffe that is sure to be played over and over in this campaign, presumptive presidential nominee Mitt Romney announced his running mate, Wisconsin congressman Paul Ryan, as 'the next President of the United States." He came back a moment later to correct himself.
It should be noted that in 2008, then-Senator Barack Obama made the same mistake when announcing Joe Biden as his running mate. Watch that video here.
