Portland's police chief says a 61-year-old man opened fire on police in Southeast Portland Sunday morning, wounding two officers. Chief Mike Reese says two officers were conducting a routine welfare check at the home, when the suspect opened fire through the front door. The officer who was shot at the front door received minor injuries.
