It's time to get ready for your New Year's Eve bash. KING 5's Christie Johnson was at Metropolitan Grill in Seattle getting a few tips on how to throw a stress-free, successful party.

"Small bites and easily prepared foods are your best bet. You want to be out partying with your guests and not in the kitchen slaving away" said Executive Chef Eric Hellner.

Hellner suggests things like bruschetta, spanakopita, ahi tuna and stuffed mushrooms.

As far as alcohol goes, a little goes a long way. Experts suggest that you serve a couple of signature cocktails instead of having a full bar and pick drinks that will go with everything.

"No red or white wine will go with everything. I always recommend rose champagne - it's the most versatile wine on the planet," said Thomas Price, Head Sommelier.

Chef Hellner stresses the importance of getting things done ahead of time. Prepping today and tomorrow morning is key so that you can enjoy your New Year's celebration.
