RIVERSIDE PARK, Ore. -- Two Clackamas County Sheriff's deputies rescued a deer on Sunday that had gotten herself into a precarious position.

The deer was wedged inside a rocky embankment along the Clackamas River near Riverside Park.

Sheriff's deputies found the deer about 10:30 a.m., took a jet boat to the spot the young doe was wedged, and used a pole and lasso to free her from the rocks.

The startled deer jumped into the boat with the two deputies, Nate Thompson and Morgan Guthner, then jumped into the water and pranced into the woods.
