Black lab rescued from frozen Sandy lake

SANDY, Ore. – Firefighters rescued a black lab that got stuck in mud and ice in Sandy early Thursday morning.

Someone called 911 for help around 8:30 a.m. after they noticed the dog struggling in Hope Lake and heard her wailing.

Firefighters responded quickly and used a boat to reach the dog.

Now 5-year-old Mango is back with her owners and doing well.
