TACOMA – Although police are not commenting about specifics of the Zina Linnik murder case, Zina's family sat in court Thursday afternoon as Terapon Adhahn was arraigned in the cases of two other girls.
They saw him up close in his first court appearance.
Adhahn is the suspect in 12-year-old Zina's murder. She disappeared from her Tacoma home July 4, prompting a week-long Amber Alert that ended when police found her remains.
Zina's uncle, Dmitriy, couldn’t find a word to describe Adhahn.
"It's not a man," he said of Zina's murder suspect, who he saw up close in court.

Thursday's charges didn't address Zina's case, but the county says charges against Adhahn could be filed next week.
"We anticipate some additional information coming to us," said Ed Murphy, King County attorney. "When we get that, then we'll make the charges. It won't be this week."
They say it's critical to take their time to build the case.
At the rural spot where Zina's body was found, a memorial was held Thursday.
It was attended in part by Zina's former teachers.
"It's for me unbelievable that life this young could be cut short," said Ruby Midgette, Zina's music teacher
Zina's family continues to mourn.
"It's hard. It's too hard," said Dmitriy.
He said as they patiently wait for Adhahn to be charged, his family is also focused on justice for the future.
"There's something wrong when he did it before this," Dmitriy said.
