KREM.com and NWCN.com Staff Reports

SPOKANE -- Firefighters continue to battle a wind-whipped fire at the Ugly Duck Liquidators wholesale business in north Spokane.

Firefighters responded to a fire around 1 p.m. on Thursday. The fire started relatively small and crews thought they had it under control, but it flared up as a result of high winds.

Firefighters responded to a fire at the Ugly Duck liquidators warehouse in north Spokane Thursday afternoon.

The owner said he has an estimated $2 million in inventory at the location.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined. This is the fourth fire sustained at the business in recent years; two of those were arson related.
