Traffic was backed up for miles after the truck overturned on the curve near Rainier Ave.
SEATTLE - A semi-truck tipped over on westbound Interstate 90 in Seattle Monday afternoon, causing a backup that stretched for miles at one point.
The semi, carrying a load of buckwheat, rolled onto its side in the westbound lanes just west of the Mount Baker tunnel near the Rainier Avenue exit around 2:30 p.m.
The truck blocked several lanes, forcing traffic to squeeze by on one lane. The backup at one point extended for five miles all the way across Lake Washington to the I-405 interchange and onto I-405.

Fire, WSP, and WSDOT Incident Response Teams righted the truck and had all lanes but one open shortly before 5 p.m.
No one was injured in the rollover, but injuries were reported in a second accident inside the Mount Baker tunnel that still had traffic backed up shortly after 5 p.m.
