LAKE FOREST PARK, Wash. -- What if police in Ferguson had been wearing body cameras? Would it have led to a different outcome?
In Lake Forest Park, one officer volunteers to wear a camera on his lapel.
Officer Morris Parrish says it gives an accurate picture of an encounter and helps protect citizens as well as police. Once, he says, it helped him address an unfair complaint against him.
"My sergeant was able to review the video and in 30 minutes was able to clear me of that complaint," he said.
Under Washington law, he must tell a citizen that sound is being recorded.
