The average price for homes in Seattle is at a record high.

According to the Seattle Times, the median price for a single-family sold in July was $543,500. The previous high of $501,000 was set in 2007 prior to the start of the recession.

On the east side of Lake Washington, the median price for single-family homes sold the same month was $624,900, just off the 2007 record of $640,975.

Almost all of the 86 neighborhoods in King County saw an increase in their property value assessment in 2014, according to Kinco County Assessor Lloyd Hara. The assessed value determines property taxes for 2015.

Assessed values are determined by housing sales as well as other factors.
