RENTON, Wash. -- One person was killed after a driver lost control of her car and crashed into a Renton office building Wednesday morning.
The collision happened just before 11 a.m. Police say the driver, an 80-year-old woman, was headed southbound on Logan when she lost control of her car. Her white Buick veered off the road and crashed into a Farmers Insurance office, pinning a female office worker under the front end of the car.
Police and firefighters immediately arrived at the scene and were able to remove the woman. They performed CPR on her, but were unsuccessful.
Medics were also treating another person at the scene, but authorities have not confirmed whether that person is the driver or another office worker.
Police continue questioning the driver and their investigation into what caused the accident.
