SPOKANE, Wash. -- Washington State freshman quarterback J.T. Levenseller will give up his redshirt season and play in his first game on Saturday at Stanford.
Coach Paul Wulff said the Cougars are so thin at quarterback that Levenseller will have a chance to get a lot of playing time in the next five games. That makes it worth it to pull his redshirt so late in the season.
Wulff said Kevin Lopina will start at quarterback, but Levenseller will play. He is the son of wide receivers coach Mike Levenseller.
