BOISE -- Gusty winds and a short period of freezing rain early Thursday morning made for slick driving during the early morning commute.

Ada County Sheriff's deputies and Idaho State Police officers had responded to three signficant accidents just after 6 a.m.

They included wrecks at Ten Mile and I-84 westbound, Orchard and I-84 eastbound, and Desert and Maple Grove.

Ada County dispatchers reported one person transported to the hospital after the crash near Ten Mile. KTVB Photojournalist Eric Turner reports that crash appeared to involved a delivery van and a car.

An injured party was reported at the crash near Desert and Maple Grove. A Tweet from the Ada County Sheriff's Office indicated no serious injuries there.

Deputies and state police responded to dozens of accidents Wednesday morning after a wave of snow fell throughout the Treasure Valley.

More snow and rain is expected Thursday night and into the weekend.
