SEATTLE --An Alaska Airlines flight to Ft. Lauderdale that originated in Seattle made an emergency landing early Saturday in Denver after an engine failed in mid-flight.
A spokesperson from the airline says one of the engines on the Boeing 737-800 experienced a technical problem causing it to shut down two hours after the flight left Sea-Tac Airport.
The crew declared an emergency and landed in Denver which was the closest airport.
Nobody was injured, the plane landed safely.
Alaska Airlines is working on putting passengers on to other flights to Ft. Lauderdale.
