SPOKANE-- Investigators released new details Wednesday about a mysterious Deer Park murder.

Chanin Starbuck died Thursday from strangulation. A request to check on her led police to discover her body on Saturday.

Investigators say there were no signs of forced entry, but are remaining tight lipped about what they found inside Starbuck's home.

Spokane Deputies indicate the suspect is likely someone she knows.

The community of Deer Park is shocked by the discovery.

KREM 2 s Katie Utehs spoke with several neighbors about Chanin Starbuck, who didn't want to go on camera. They told Katie that Chanin was a devoted mother who spent most of her time driving her children to and from sports practice.

Chanin and her ex-husband clay Starbuck divorced this summer. He owed nearly $65,000 in divorce settlement and back child support according to court documents.

Starbuck had a valid restraining order against her ex-husband, citing continued harassment and fear.

Investigators say clay Starbuck has been co-operative.

They're also looking at other people potentially close to Chanin.

Investigators say this is an isolated incident.

They believe Starbuck knew her attacker.
