SEATTLE -- A toddler suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries after falling from a third floor window Wednesday, said Seattle Fire Department officials.

Just before 11 a.m., Seattle police tweeted the 1 1/2-year-old girl fell out of the window at a residence in the 3800 block of S. Oregon Street. Fire officials said the girl fell 20 feet, hit a roof, then fell another 10 feet.

When firefighters arrived at the scene, the child was talking and alert. She was transported to Harborview Medical Center, where she was being treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries.
