BEAVERTON, Ore. Investigators are trying to figure out what sparked a fire in a Beaverton strip club Monday night.

The fire broke out around 7 p.m. at the Pussycats Strip Club on SW Canyon Road.

Surrounding roads were closed off as firefighters battled the blaze. Witnesses said flames were shooting out of the roof and heat from the fire snapped some powerlines.

It was a pretty significant fire and it always adds to the problem when you have power lines down on the ground without the power company, so we had to be careful with that, said Lt. Steve Mills with Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue.

No one was hurt and everyone was able to safely evacuate the building.
