BOISE -- Two female patas monkeys have arrived at Zoo Boise from a New York zoo.

DJ and Kibibi -- who are sisters -- were brought to the facility after one of the zoo's patas monkeys was killed in November.

Police say suspect Michael Watkins went into the zoo after hours and killed the monkey last month.

According to court documents, prosecutors say Watkins wanted to take the monkey and deliberately killed it.

After their quarantine, the new females will be placed in an enclosure within sight of the male.

If they are compatible, all three monkeys will live together in the primate house until a new exhibit is complete.

The new patas monkey exhibit will be located in the African plains exhibit near the giraffe barn.
