ELMORE COUNTY -- Elmore County dispatch says several fires broke out along Interstate 84 Monday afternoon.

The Boise dispatch office of the Bureau of Land Management says they are helping fight the largest of the five fires between milepost 86 and 94. BLM says the fires started around 2 p.m. Monday.

Four of the five fires are now out, but BLM believes the largest one still burning near milepost 86 is now over 100 acres.

In addition to the engines from the Mountain Home Fire Department, several BLM engines and a BLM helicopter, the Mountain Home Air Force Base is helping out.

BLM says they hope to have it contained shortly after dark.

They don't know what caused the fires at this time.
