Get ready for another soaker this week that could bring urban flooding like last week. The Central Puget Sound region could receive two inches of rain between Thursday afternoon and Friday afternoon.

KING 5 Meteorologist Lisa Van Cise says rain from a system that was offshore Wednesday will bring scattered showers Thursday morning then steadier rain by mid-afternoon.

Unstable air will bring a chance of thunderstorms for the Cascades and the lowlands. Highs Thursday will be in the low-to-mid 70s.

Van Cise says the rain is likely to stick around through much of Friday. The wettest areas will be along the coast in the Cascades. Widespread rain is likely Friday but will slowly decrease.

Summer weather returns Saturday through Monday.
