Fan voting is now open for the NFL Rookie of the Year, and to nobody s surprise, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is one of the five choices.

VOTE NOW: NFL Rookie of the Year 2012 poll

Wilson threw for 3,118 yards and tied Peyton Manning s rookie record of 26 touchdown passes in 2012 while leading Seattle to a 11-5 record and a playoff berth. Wilson s passer rating of 100.0 was fourth-best in the league this season, even though his height (5 feet, 11 inches) is traditionally considered too short for a quarterback to be successful.

Voting continues on until 6 p.m. Seattle time on Tuesday, January 29 and you can vote multiple times. The winner will be announced Feb. 2.

The other candidates include:

Andrew Luck, QB, Indianapolis
4,374 yards, 23 touchdowns
The first overall pick in the drafter led the Colts to 11-5 record and playoffs after team won only two games last season.

Robert Griffin III, QB, Washington
3,200 yards, 20 touchdowns, 102.4 passer rating (3rd in NFL)
815 yards rushing (rookie QB record), 7 touchdowns
Second overall pick in draft led Redskins to 10-6 record, the NFC East title and the team s first home playoff game since 1999.

Doug Martin, RB, Tampa Bay
1,454 yards rushing, 11 touchdowns
1,925 total yards from scrimmage (third most by rookie in NFL history)
The 31st overall NFL draft pick from Boise State helped keep the Bucs in playoff contention late into the season.

Alfred Morris, RB, Washington

The sixth-round pick of the Redskins rushed for the third highest total by a rookie in NFL history.
