ASTORIA, Ore. -- A semi-truck toppled over while traveling across the Astoria-Megler Bridge Monday morning, causing major traffic disruptions.
There were no reports of injuries.
Crews said they will not be able to remove the flipped truck from the bridge until winds die down later this afternoon.
The bridge was closed after the wreck, around 11 a.m. Police said high winds likely flipped the trailer.
Crews with the Oregon Department of Transportation in Clatsop County were urging motorists to postpone or delay travel on coastal corridors until the storm passes.
They warned that there are downed trees, debris and high standing water making driving difficult along many area roadways.
