SEATTLE - While Seafair brings Blue Angels, hydros and parades, it s also set to bring big help to the local chapter of the USO.

The non-profit organization that provides help for military members and their families is expected to receive $300,000 at the Seafair Ball fundraiser. The money will put the USO over its goal to create a new space at Sea-Tac Airport.

The current space sees an average of 8,000 service members each year. The new space, just down the hall in the terminal, can hold double that amount.

This year's Seafair Ball, sponsored by Admiral Jet, will be a black-tie optional party held at the Seattle Design Center on Friday.
