VANCOUVER -- A Vancouver man arrested for shooting at a neighbor's house told police he did it because he was angry that the people there were using fireworks, court documents show.

Witnesses called police just before 11 p.m. Sunday to report that a man had fired his shotgun three times toward a house in the 4900 block of Northeast 19th Avenue, according to the probable cause affidavit.

The witnesses reported that the suspect was screaming, You want to blow [things] up? I'll blow you up, the document reads.

Officers arriving at the scene spoke with 43-year-old Corey Alan Moulton, who told them he fired the weapon into the bushes in front of the house as a show of force, according to the police report. He said he was upset about the fireworks.

Moulton was jailed on two counts of first-degree assault. There were no reports of injuries.
