BOISE -- A former Ada CountySheriff's Office employee convicted last year of killing a Meridian attorney has been sentenced to 30 years in prison.
Rob Hall will be eligible for parole after 17 years.
Hall was found guilty in October of killing Emmett Corrigan outside a Meridian Walgreens.
Hall previously worked in a tech support role at the Ada County Sheriff's Office.
Prosecutors say Hall became angry after discovering Corrigan's affair with his wife, Kandi. They say Hall physically struggled with Corrigan before fatally shooting him with a .380 caliber pistol.
Hall's wife, Kandi, testified that her head was turned away from the struggle when the shot was fired.
Hall was scheduled to be sentenced earlier this year, but that was postponed so the prosecution could review a mental health evaluation that was recently provided by Hall's attorneys.
KTVB's Jamie Grey will be tweeting live updates from the sentencing, which starts at 9 a.m. and could last up to five hours.
