PORTLAND -- A man was found shot to death outside a tavern in Northeast Portland Monday night, police said.

Investigators found the victim just before 8 p.m., near 92nd Place and Glisan Street, after responding to reports of shots fired. It's unclear what led to the shooting of the man described as being in his late teens or early 20s.

The body was outside the Top of the Hill Tavern. One man told KGW they heard of a disturbance at the tavern. Police have not said whether the tavern was related to the gunfire.

Traffic was shut down on Glisan from NE 91st Avenue to the I-205 overpass during the investigation.

Police said they do not believe the shooting was related to a nearby hit-and-run crash on Glisan involving a pedestrian.
