TACOMA, Wash. -- Reporting vandalism or potholes to the City of Tacoma will soon be easier for those with a smartphone.

The City of Tacoma just launched its TacomaFIRST 311 app, where users can do anything from pay a utility bill to report a non-emergency crime or public works concern. The app is free and city officials said it should help address concerns more effectively.

It's quicker and it's an easier way for residents and visitors to access city services said Tacoma's Customer Support Center Manager LaToya Mason.

The app will also allow users to find frequently asked questions and track their requests. It's a relief for business owners like Morgan Alexander, owner of Tacoma Brewing Company downtown, who has made his fair share of complaints.

If there's an app you can just pull up, I think that's great, said Alexander.
