Cyclists are preparing for a very special ride this weekend. Obliteride, a bike ride and movement to obliterate cancer, kicks off Friday night.

100 percent of the money raised from Obliteride benefits cancer research at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.

Obliteride runs from August 8-10. People can still sign up to ride on Obliteride's website.It begins Friday with a kick-off party at Gas Works Park. The 150-mile riders begin in Seattle on Saturday morning. On Sunday, there are staggered starts at Magnuson Park for the25, 50, and 100-mile routes.

11-year-old brain cancer survivor Mary McCann, her mother Stacy McCann, and Obliteride executive director Amy Lavin joined KING 5 Morning News to talk about the ride.
