One person is dead and another is in critical condition Friday after a Maple Valley property owner called 911 to report he was being robbed, then said he shot two people.

King County Sheriff s Office spokesperson Sgt. Cindi West said it happened around 4 a.m. 23200 block of 212th Avenue SE.

West said a 66-year-old property owner called 911 to say he was being robbed and someone was in a container on his property. The line then went dead.

The man called 911 back and said he had shot two intruders on his property.

West said a male is dead and a female was taken to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.

The property owner has called the sheriff s office roughly five times in the past few weeks, but West could not elaborate on what those calls were about.
