The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Team have been called to a suspected homicide at a home.
Lt. Jeff Brand with the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office says at 9:06 a.m. Lake Stevens Police received a 911 call that there was a deceased woman in the home in the 9200 block of 15th St. SE.
After finding a woman's body, officers exited the residence to wait for a search warrant.
The woman, thought to be in her 20s, appears to have died of homicidal violence, Brand said.
Lake Stevens Police asked Snohomish County Sheriff's Office to take the lead in the investigation.
Brand said investigators are confident that this case is not related to the Molly Conley shooting.
