BOISE -- One man is dead after what police are calling an incident on Friday at a Boise shooting range.
The call originally came in as a self-inflicted gunshot wound at Impact Guns, an indoor shooting range off Executive Avenue in Boise at about 3 p.m.
Boise Police tell us that a man is confirmed dead from that shooting, and they say that the incident does not appear to involve a criminal act. They say the investigation is ongoing, and they won't know by the end of Friday exactly what happened because there were no eyewitnesses. They can't say more than that right now.
Across the parking lot, at Happy Trails motorcycle Accessories, employees were alarmed when they saw six police cars, an ambulance, and two fire trucks pull into the shooting range.
One Happy Trails employee says he's never seen anything like this happen here.
We've only been here for about two years and this is the first time this has happened, said Booker Bernard.
No one was being allowed into Impact Guns as police continued their investigation inside.
In the, more than an hour KTVB was on scene, more than a dozen people drove up just wondering what was going on, only to be turned away by a sign on the door that said the range was temporarily closed.
