PORTLAND - Deputies on Wednesday arrested a Troutdale man accused of raping a developmentally disabled woman.
Police arrested Cedric Graves, who was recently indicted on Measure 11 crimes.
Investigators said Graves raped a developmentally disabled co-worker in the back of his van, after offering to give her a ride to work. Late last week, a Multnomah County grand jury voted to indict Graves on rape and sex abuse charges.
Graves says he didn t do it and calls the allegations a lie.
I don t rape females. I live with my mom and my grandmother, my parents know me, they know where I m from, they know what I m about, they know where I m going when I die, Graves said at the time of his arrest.
After several hours of searching, Multnomah County deputies arrested him as he walked to class at Mt. Hood Community College.
Due to the circumstances in this case, it rose above every other warrant we had in our stack today, Detective Todd Shanks said.
If convicted on all counts, he ll spend the next 20 years behind bars.
Graves is being held on $750,000 bail.
